So lately, I've been painting up a storm and sketching out new ideas for future work. However, as part of the creative process it is important to have a comfortable studio. As i mentioned before, my studio is undergoing clean-up, "Out with old and in with the new". A recent addition is a nice H-frame studio easel.
I also been brushing up on landscape painting, portrait, and show work, so as you may imagine I've been very busy, not to mention I am fighting this awful cold (blah :/ ). Best wishes everyone and stay well. I'm posting this small tidbit from my studio clean-up. This piece is a charcoal on toned paper, and I will keep this in the archive :) .
2011-Charcoal on toned paper.
Lately, I've been doing a lot of portrait and landscape studies which have been taking me away from my sudden burst of improv sketches on my large pad of 22x25 inch paper, here in the studio. And
I've longed to draw expressively for a while now, so I did so on a whim this past week. This drawing below is the second that I'm working on, and I will debut the painting in April this year. Details to come soon.
Along side these visual brainstorms, I have another piece same size below sitting in the background of my wall ready re visit.
